Kononaturals.com and Kono Naturals, LLC. does not sell or distribute any products that are in violation of the United States Controlled Substances Act (USA CSA). The company does sell and distribute hemp-based products.

Do I need a prescription or medical marijuana card How do recent CBD regulations effect legalization?

All Kono Naturals products sold are legal in all 50 states and do not require a prescription or medical cards in the United States. If you are in another country, please check your local laws.  While many states have started legalizing CBD Oil from Marijuana, some states have voted against it. CBD oil from hemp is legal in all 50 states regardless of your state’s specific laws on marijuana and marijuana CBD Oil.  CBD oil containing less than 0.03% THC is considered legal.  All of our products meet this standard.

How is it different than medical Marijuana?

CBD is the non-psychoactive ingredient extracted from the hemp plant, which is the same plant that is used in the production of marijuana – cannabis sativa. The main difference between hemp and marijuana is the purpose for which they are grown. The hemp that is used in CBD is intentionally grown to have high levels of CBD and low levels of THC whereas marijuana is grown to have high levels of THC – the chemical that gives users a high feeling. Learn more about CBD here.

Are your products really made with 100% Hemp?

Yes. Kono Naturals works closely with farmers located in Colorado to harvest hemp plants low in THC and high in CBD. Using sustainable farming technique and the whole hemp plant, the farmers are able to guarantee the least wasteful and most environmentally friendly process for cultivating hemp. Learn more about our process here.

How do I determine my dosage of CBD?

The FDA does not allow us to recommend specific CBD dosage information due to the implication that the product would be used for treatment or cure of a health condition.  We do, however, recommend our customers review this website to determine dosage for their specific use.

How should I determine how many drops to use? The bottle says  “Serving Size – 1ML.”

Since this is a considered a food product by the FDA, a serving size on the label is required to meet regulatory standards. Serving size is relative to each individual.  Research shows that 5-10MG of CBD intake is enough to activate your CBD receptors. Kono Naturals 1oz CBD tinctures have 30ml of liquid, which equals 900 drops.

  • 250mg tincture has approximately .27mg of CBD per drop. 1 ML (30 drops) of our 250mg 1oz bottle equals 8.33mg of CBD. Example: for 5mg of CBD you would take 18 drops.
  • 500mg tincture has approximately .55mg of CBD per drop. 1 ML (30 drops) of our 500mg 1oz bottle equals 16.66mg of CBD.  Example: for 10mg of CBD you would take 18 drops.
  • 1000mg tincture has approximately 1.11mg of CBD per drop. 1 ML (30 drops) of our 1000mg 1oz bottle equals 33.33mg of CBD.  Example: for 20mg of CBD you would take 18 drops.
  • 1500mg tincture has approximately 1.66mg of CBD per drop. 1 ML (30 drops) of our 1500mg 1oz bottle equals 50mg of CBD.  Example: for 30mg of CBD you would take 18 drops.

When will I see results?

Generally, once determining proper dosage, it only takes 20-30 minutes to become effective.  Some customers have experienced results immediately upon using the product while some customers report noticing results after several uses.

How should I take the drops?

The best way to take the drops is sublingually (under your tounge). The easiest way to ensure proper dosage is to drip the desired number of drops onto a spoon. From the spoon – pour dosage directly under your tongue for about 60-90 seconds, then swallow.  If you prefer to mix the drops in a drink or other liquid, we would recommend doubling the dosage as they are less effective taken this way. The stomach acids work very quickly to break down the cannabinoids making it only partially effective.

Is it possible to take too much?

Since we are not physicians and not knowledgeable regarding your specific health conditions we highly recommend you consult a medical professional before taking or using our products.  However, we can confirm that there is no established lethal dose of CBD, and by using or consuming too much of our products is highly unlikely.

Can I take CBD with my current medications?

We highly recommend you consult a medical professional to determine if your current medications can be taken with CBD.

Will CBD cause me to be “high”?

The THC compound found in cannabis causes the “high” effect.  Our CBD oil is non-psychoactive and lacks this THC component.  There have been no known reports of CBD users feeling “high”.

Is CBD safe for children and/or pets?

Again, we highly recommend you consult a medical professional regarding safe use for children or pets.  Reports show that pets and children are using CBD products for similar medical conditions as adults are using it for.
